                Don't be Alone Get Connected!

                Picture
It is too easy to not get connected in our world. Even though we are in the communication age, more and more people are becoming isolated.
The bible tells us not to neglect to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:25, ESV)

                Small Groups

How to get connected into a small group (spiritual family) at Vineyard Church:

                1. Find a group near you that fits your schedule.

                2. Email or call that small group leader to find out more about the group and to get directions. Often small groups meet in different homes from week to week, so you definitely don't want to show up at the wrong place!

                3. Know that no one small group is the best fit for every person. We encourage you to try out several different groups before you settle on one.

                4. If you have would like help finding a small group or are interested in leading one, you can contact the church office for more information.

Here are some definitions to help you get connected:

                Small Groups
A small group is a group of 6-15 people who form the basic unit of Christian community. It functions to provide a place where members gather around the presence of Christ, support one another as a family, reach out in ministry and evangelism to the hurting world, and mentor and release new leaders. The ultimate goal of a small group is to multiply itself as the group grows through evangelistic outreach. Most of our small groups meet weekly outside the church facility in an effort to penetrate the world.

                Common-Interest Groups
Groups where people gather around a common interest.  The primary purpose of common-interest groups is evangelism. We have seen many nonchristians start attending church and then come to Christ because they first started attending one of these groups.

                Classes
Short term groups designed to teach you a particular subject matter (e.g. Financial clases, Book Studies, Ministry clases: hearing the Voice of God, then Prophetic, Healing, Spiritual Gifts, Spiritual Warfare,  Beth Moore Bible Study, and Alpha, etc.)

                Ministries
The use of a person's gifts and talents, time and energy, in the service of the Kingdom of God (e.g. Meals Ministry, Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Group, Hospital Visitors, etc.)
